The Multiplier Slider
The multiplier slider adjusts your per-square-inch and per-linear-inch rates across both size-based methods simultaneously.
Moving it up raises both prices together. Moving it down lowers them. The relationship between square inch and linear inch stays consistent as you adjust. If square inch is running 30% lower than linear inch at your current rate, that relationship holds as you move the slider.
Use the slider to quickly see how different rate levels change your results. It is the fastest way to answer "what if I raised my rate?" without changing your profile settings.
The slider affects the current calculation only. It does not change your default multiplier in Settings. When you start a new calculation, your defaults reload.
If you find yourself consistently sliding to a higher rate to get numbers that feel right, that is a signal: your default multiplier is ready to be raised. See How to Set Your Multiplier for when and how to do that.
